I cannot praise Kick enough for the generous support they have given us this year. We ran a careers and enrichment programme for our disadvantaged young people and ended up with Eco-therapy, trips to Brighton Theatre Royal, Drusillas Zoo, Bike Mechanics Workshops and so much more! This support has helped everyone widen their horizons and aim high in their career aspirations. It has also been a lot of fun. Thank you so much for this help and we are excited to work with you again next year.

As part of the Senior Leadership Team overseeing student leadership, partnering with KICK for the Charity Den project has been an absolute joy. It provided a fantastic opportunity for our students to channel their energy into a cause they truly care about. The entire process was beautifully clear, keeping the students firmly in the driving seat and deeply engaged from their very first proposal right through to putting their plans into action. It has been a real pleasure working with KICK this year on The Charity Den programme. This year has been a huge success at Dormers Wells, with many Year 12 students showing strong interest in taking part and developing their own charitable ideas aimed at giving back to the local community. Through the regular meetings and guidance provided by KICK, students were given a clear blueprint for turning their ideas into structured plans and proposals. This support helped them understand how to move from an initial concept to a realistic and meaningful project. The level of support from the KICK mentors has been outstanding, genuinely some of the best I have experienced across any programme I’ve worked with. On behalf of the school and every student involved, I would like to thank KICK for providing such a valuable platform and for empowering young people to pursue causes they truly believe in.

The Charity Den has provided a fantastic opportunity for our Year 12 students to develop their leadership, project management and social impact skills through real world charitable initiatives. We have seen two particularly successful projects emerge from the programme: a period poverty campaign, where students designed and packaged care boxes that were donated to a local Ealing women’s refuge, and a STEM careers event that brought together industry professionals to inspire young people and raise awareness of opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. We have been consistently impressed by the level of support, guidance and encouragement provided by The Charity Den team. The financial backing and project infrastructure offered through the programme has enabled students to turn ambitious ideas into meaningful community action, creating experiences that have had a lasting impact both within and beyond the school.

I am Enrichment lead at Featherstone High School, and I have been working with Jasbir on the Charity Den for 2 years now. It has been one of the most valuable opportunities for our students, in terms of the process of pitching an original idea, working in teams to develop their plans, and becoming more confident people and leaders within our school community. Many of the students who have been involved, whether they were awarded the money or not, took themselves out of their comfort zones to speak in public, work with other students and present ideas clearly - all skills that they will need for any career in future. Jasbir has been excellent in developing and maintaining the relationships with the students involved, and offered support and guidance where needed to get the best out of the students and their projects. I hope our relationship with KICK and the Charity Den continues.
