kickstarting young lives

What We Do

KICK gives young people something rarely offered in education: the opportunity, funding and support to design and lead their own charitable project.

Our flagship programme, The Charity Den, is a groundbreaking model that challenges students to identify an issue they care about, develop their own response and pitch for the funding to make it happen.

With KICK behind them, students take their ideas from an initial concept to a real charitable project, making a difference to communities that matter to them while building confidence, leadership, communication and project-management skills along the way.

“The level of support from the KICK mentors has been outstanding, genuinely some of the best I have experienced across any programme I’ve worked with.”

Derrick Chan, Head of Economics at Dormers Wells High School

“Partnering with KICK for the Charity Den project has been an absolute joy. It provided a fantastic opportunity for our students to channel their energy into a cause they truly care about. The entire process was beautifully clear, keeping the students firmly in the driving seat and deeply engaged from their very first proposal right through to putting their plans into action. ”

Georgia Neale, Assistant Headteacher at Varndean High School

“The Charity Den has been one of the most valuable opportunities for our students, who have become more confident people and leaders within our school community.”

Sarah Horton, Head of Enrichment at Featherstone High School
